  • Surface requirements: Coatings must fulfil a wide range of technical and visual requirements, adapted to the respective substrate and component.
  • Corrosion protection: In various industries, special requirements must be met for the corrosion protection of metal components, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Special substrates and geometries: Innovative materials require customised coating systems and application processes, while increasingly complex geometries demand special developments in the coating process.
  • Pre-treatment processes: The removal of impurities and the optimisation of adhesion and corrosion protection are decisive steps prior to coating, which may make a separate coating superfluous.
  • Machines and systems: The selection of the right systems and the harmonisation of various parameters are crucial for high-quality surfaces. Robot-controlled and manual painting are used depending on the application.
Our laboratory offers you a wide range of testing options
  • Coating thickness measurements: We measure the coating thickness in accordance with ISO 2360 and ISO 2178 as well as using ultrasound for multi-layer systems.
  • Salt spray test: We use DIN EN ISO 9227 to assess the corrosion resistance of materials and coatings.
  • Condensation constant climate test: This test according to ISO 6270-2 CH checks the adhesion between layers and identifies problems in the pre-treatment.
  • Spectrophotometry: Our colour measurement devices determine colour values in the colour space in order to precisely detect deviations.
  • Gloss measurement: In accordance with DIN 67530 and ISO 2813, we measure the degree of reflection as a measure of gloss.
  • Cleanliness measurement: We use fluorescence technology to detect organic soiling and evaluate cleaning processes.
  • Further measuring methods: Microscopy, hardness testing, light cabin, scratch resistance tests and mandrel bending tests complete our quality control.


No painting without pre-treatment

We only accept first-class quality. For this reason, precise pre-treatment is an essential part of the way we work. We have access to a wide range of equipment and techniques to carry out the pre-treatment of your components professionally.

Clock diving systems

We offer customised cleaning and coating solutions for metal and plastic parts up to 2,500 mm x 1,000 mm x 800 mm and 400 kg in our cyclic immersion systems. With 34 dip tanks, we enable precise pre-treatment, customised to the degree of soiling, component geometry and material. Our chemical surface treatments include conversion coatings of silane, titanium zirconium, chromium III, zinc phosphate and organic sealants for various metals.

Power wash system

In our power wash system, we clean parts up to 400 mm x 600 mm x 200 mm and a maximum weight of 20 kg. We use our vacuum power wash technology to remove impurities from metals and plastics. With a capacity of up to 5,000 small parts per hour, the system washes and dries metal parts from mechanical production, cast parts made of steel, aluminium or magnesium, as well as plastic parts of all kinds.

Fluorination plant

In our fluorination plant, we activate even difficult plastics such as polypropylene, making them suitable for painting, bonding and labelling. In contrast to other methods, fluorination is an irreversible process that lasts for months. Plastic surfaces treated with this process can be further processed with water-based paints and adhesives without the need for additional primers.

CO2 blasting systems

With CO2 blasting systems, we achieve the highest surface quality through gentle and efficient cleaning directly before the painting process, even on supposedly clean surfaces that are contaminated by environmental influences or handling.

Laser cleaning

With our cleaning laser, we can remove even stubborn dirt such as oils, resins, grease and even old layers of paint. This method offers a number of advantages over conventional cleaning methods. For example, there is no need to use aggressive chemicals or abrasive materials. This results in an environmentally friendly cleaning solution on various surfaces that leaves no residue and at the same time extends the service life of the treated surfaces.

Stoz GmbH has been active in component painting since 1926 and has 13 painting systems that offer a wide range of coatings and paints for various materials, from technical protection to visually appealing surfaces. Thanks to our expertise, we can offer the right solution for all industries. Even critical components are in good hands with us.

Our paint shops
  • The large throughfeed system enables high-quality painting of components up to 2700 mm long with an ABB robot - ideal for high-gloss painting.
  • The medium continuous painting systems I and II are suitable for medium-sized components and offer two ABB robots for one and two-coat painting, including high-temperature painting and double-sided painting using automatic turning stations.
  • The small throughfeed systems I and II are fully automatic systems with ABB painting robots for components up to one metre in length and enable painting on all sides.
  • The small parts continuous coating system is designed for rotationally symmetrical components in large quantities and utilises automatic masking and IR radiation for drying.
  • The gantry robot system is a flexible semi-automatic machine with an ABB painting robot for large components up to over one metre, with drying in the batch oven.
  • The round spraying machine is suitable for rotationally symmetrical parts and dries the components by induction or in a batch oven.
  • The manual spray booth is ideal for components up to 3 metres in length, for small batches and multi-layer water-based and solvent-based coatings with batch oven drying.
  • The spindle conveyor system I uses an ABB painting robot for components up to 600 mm, cleans automatically with CO2 snow or dry ice and dries at temperatures up to 180 °C.
  • The through-spindle systems II and III use ABB painting robots with high-rotation atomisers and electrostatics for solvent-based paints, work with components up to 600 mm and dry at up to 180 °C.
