Pre-treatment as the foundation
for high-quality industrial coatings
Precise surface treatment – the basis of all industrial coating
High-quality industrial coating always begins with the right preparation. As experienced industrial coatings specialists, we rely on professional pre-treatment processes for metals and plastics. From chemical processes and CO₂ cleaning to laser processing, we offer a wide range of processes to ensure optimum adhesion, protection and quality.
Our pre-treatments are precisely tailored to the material, component geometry and further processing – for reproducible results and maximum process reliability.
No coating without pre-treatment
We only accept top-notch quality
Thorough and reliable pre-treatment is an integral part of our working methods. We use state-of-the-art technology and our many years of experience in surface technology to achieve reproducible results, even with sensitive substrates.
CO₂ blasting system
CO₂ cleaning enables us to achieve maximum surface cleanliness immediately prior to coating. Even on components that appear clean, we remove residues caused by handling or environmental influences – particularly gently and without leaving any residue.
Power wash system
We clean up to 5,000 small parts per hour in our power wash facility. Components made of steel, aluminium, magnesium or plastic are reliably washed and dried – in formats up to 400 x 600 x 200 mm and 20 kg. Vacuum technology ensures effective and gentle cleaning.
Fluorination plant
Our fluorination plant optimally prepares even critical plastics such as polypropylene for coating, bonding or labelling. The surface activation is permanent, environmentally friendly and eliminates the need for additional primers – ideal for water-based coat and adhesives.
Cyclic immersion systems
With 34 immersion tanks, our batch immersion systems offer flexible and precise pre-treatment for components up to 2,500 x 1,000 x 800 mm and 400 kg. We use silane, titanium zirconium, zinc phosphate and chromium III conversion coatings, among others, adapted to the material, geometry and cleaning requirements.
Laser cleaning
Our laser cleaning removes stubborn residues such as oils, resins or old coat – without the use of abrasive agents or chemicals. This process is not only efficient, but also particularly gentle on materials and the environment – ideal for sensitive or textured surfaces.
Further advantages of our pre-treatment processes

The most frequently asked questions.
What materials can be processed?
Stoz processes a wide range of materials, including plastic, carbon, metal, steel, stainless steel, brass, die-cast zinc, die-cast aluminium, cast steel and magnesium. Components made of wood cannot be processed, nor can any fixed components such as bridges, houses, façades, etc.
What are the requirements for the delivered parts?
The condition of the delivered components must be agreed upon once so that we can adapt our process accordingly. It is irrelevant whether the components are oily, dirty, in bulk or scattered. We adapt the process accordingly.
What pre-treatment procedures are offered?
We offer various pre-treatment processes, such as wet chemical pre-treatment, fluorination, flaming, CO₂ blasting and power wash cleaning, as well as laser cleaning. For wet chemical pre-treatment, we offer: silane, titanium zirconium, chromium III passivation and organic sealing. Other pre-treatment options are also available upon consultation.
Are the pre-treatment procedures also offered individually?
We offer all pre-treatment processes without subsequent coating. For example, we can also just degrease your components.
